At the end of 2019 me and my wife quit our jobs in the same day and we never looked back. After 5 years working for Scam-Mart* it was time to leave behind all the negativity and unhappiness that surrounded us on a place where resistance is futile and seek our dreams. What looked like a big step on to the unknown and uncertainty ended up by being the best decision of our lifes, only regretting not had done it earlier.

Since then we have been self employed at Uber and Lyft, lately doing Uber Eats and Doordash, what allowed us to invert the week days, now to get the same income as before we only need to work 2 days a week, and rest 5 days :)

*Scam-Mart

The Scam-Mart operates the 40-40-40 Scam, where you make someone rich by working 40+ hours a week for 40 years, and then try to retire on 40% of what you couldn’t afford to live off on the first place.

What We've Achieved

  • Peace of mind

  • No more alarm clocks, we wake when our bodies decide is enough, or when the cats decide is feeding time (99% of time)

  • We still work but when we want

  • No more PTO or Call-in, just stay at home and get some Netflix and chill

  • We can travel when we want, no more jealous manager denying it based on their bad staffing skills

  • We can afford more steak than before :)

  • Didn’t went to work today to update this page and will not go tomorrow to commemorate

  • One of my cats is crazy :)
